1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the One Minute Talks mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable.
2. The Service
One Minute Talks provides short English speaking prompts and practice tools intended to help users build confidence, fluency, and communication habits. Features may include speaking topics, timers, transcripts, speech metrics, feedback, progress information, and premium content.
The Service is an educational practice tool and does not guarantee a particular exam result, language level, employment outcome, or improvement within a specific period.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority in your location, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
One Minute Talks may offer auto-renewable subscriptions or other in-app purchases. Duration, price, trial or introductory offer, and included features are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple ID may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
- Trial or introductory-offer eligibility is determined by Apple.
- Refund requests and billing disputes are handled under Apple’s policies.
5. Accounts and access
If account functionality is offered, you are responsible for accurate information and protecting your credentials. Premium access depends on purchase and entitlement information recognized by the Service and Apple. Use “Restore Purchases” where available to recover eligible purchases.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or violate another person’s rights;
- Bypass subscriptions, purchase verification, access controls, or security measures;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except as permitted by law;
- Interfere with the Service, introduce malicious code, or overload infrastructure;
- Use automated systems to access the Service without written permission;
- Misrepresent your identity or use the Service to harass or harm others.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, prompts, graphics, mascot, and other content, is owned by or licensed to One Minute Talks and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
8. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services including Apple for App Store purchases, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management, OpenAI for speech transcription and AI-generated feedback, and Supabase for backend database, authentication, APIs, and storage. These services have their own terms and privacy practices, which are described further in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and availability
We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the Service, address security or legal requirements, or respond to technical constraints. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Minute Talks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, profits, or opportunity arising from use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless law requires otherwise.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, except where mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
